Trading as AFK System Design Ltd, we have been involved in the use of technology in the publishing field for more than ten years. Initially applying the emerging DeskTop Publishing products to enable publishers to bring their design and setting operations in-house. Subsequently, we have extended our range to include electronic publishing using CD-Roms and, more recently, the Internet.
We are able to offer a truly professional service to ensure that our sites are well-designed and written in such a way that performance on the web is maximised. We would not wish to be viewed as merely offering "web page authoring". The preparation of an effective web site requires skills not only in the HTML language but also in design and image manipulation. A good technical understanding of how the Internet functions and the workings of the various web browsers is also essential. Our conventional programming expertise may also be of relevance as we frequently encounter a requirement for pages to be generated from records held in a database format.
A high quality service does not necessarily imply high cost. You will probably be pleasantly surprised when receiving our quotation. Of course, in order to receive a quotation you will firstly have to contact us, either by E-mail or by telephone.
We have set up a small demonstration site which you might like to visit. This is loosely based on a project undertaken for one of our clients but the demonstration is for a fictitious organisation. For the pages to look at their best you should be using Netscape 2.0 or better and your screen should be set up for 800x600 and 64K colours.
