SUPER SAFARIS - SOUTH AFRICA

South Africa is famous for having the world's least original name for a country. It is evident that the Committee of Ancient Professional Explorers (founder C. Columbus) had run out of ideas when it came to devising a name for a country in the South of Africa. It is often mistakenly assumed that this lack of originality extended to the naming of Cape Town (a town near the cape), however, this is not the case. The minutes of the committee record that its members were on a communal ego trip at the time and decided to name Cape Town using the initials of their organisation, the C.A.P.E.

No visit to Cape Town would be complete without a trip to the top of Table mountain. The more intrepid and agile may choose to make the climb on foot, however, the majority will take the easier mechanised option. The cable car will carry you upward from Armchair hill, across the Sideboard valley, past Cocktail Cabinet knoll, leaving the Wardrobe cliffs to your right and finally over Bookshelf ridge to the Table itself. The views are breathtaking with Cape Town spread like a Carpet beneath, its diversity Mirroring the variety of the country of South Africa.
