You will have gathered that I have the accolade of the title Area Coordinator for Kent & East Sussex. What does this mean? Is the title honorary? Does it carry any weight? Well I am just one of 36 Area Coordinators who care for other regions nationally including that of Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland. I have to say that it is a privilege to carry the title but what it really means is that I was mug enough to accept the role..... The office itself is a democratically elected one and my duties are entirely voluntary and unpaid. The Area Coordinators work consists of liasing with the 400 or so branches dotted around the country and making sure that they have to support necessary to continue their work by providing resources and advice.
