Read and
write Unix tapes on a PC
With MMPC, any PC with a suitable
tape drive and SCSI adapter can read Unix tapes. Thus, tapes
may be converted to PC compatible files, while retaining Unix
type file names and sub-directories. All types of Unix tapes
may be read, CPIO, TAR as well as various file system backups.
Unix is an often used data interchange format. The conversion
process is extremely simple, and user does not need to know
any details about the tape density, or the block size used.
