Read VAX
VMS backup tapes on a PC
With MMPC, any PC with a suitable
tape drive and SCSI adapter can read VAX VMS backup tapes. Thus,
tapes may be converted to PC compatible files, while retaining
VMS type file names, version numbers and sub-directories. The
conversion process is extremely simple, and user does not need
to know any details about the tape density, or the block size
used. All save sets may be read in a single transaction, and
it is thus possible to use tape to interchange data between
VAX systems and PCs. Main features
