Kidney Machine for home haemodialysis 1966

For 9 years this unwieldy contraption was Moreen Lewis's lifeline. Moreen Lewis was one of the first British kidney patients to be treated at home. This machine which she nicknamed Dr Who, was installed in a specially modified room in her house. In 1966 stating on home dialysis would set you back £7000. ( In 1970 some people got it on the N.H.S )
