Penicillin was the first antibiotic, it cured many infections that had previously killed
patients of all ages. Discovered in the 1920's Penicillin wasn't immediatley hailed as a
wonder drug. Doctors disagreed about whether looking for medicines to kill specific germs
made sense. Developing Penicillin needed money and careful expertise. |
