The Science Museum - STEM Project Littlehampton Community School

THE LAUNCH PAD

A VISIT TO THIS HANDS ON GALLERY IS A MUST!

Book the Launch Pad as part of your schools Science Museum visit, this hands on gallery provides fun and challenges for students (and staff) of all ages. My colleagues and I found that we couldn't resist the challenge of most of the displays - we omitted those which required a little elbow grease!

If you have time you may wish to link the displays in the Launch Pad to the NC orders at KS3 and use it as a revision tool at the end of Y9. You will find many aspects of AT4 covered in some way shape or form. Including static electricity, total internal reflection, moments and conduction. The movement sensor burglar alarm could form the basis of an ICT SC1 if your school has data loggers with movement sensors.
