Playing with another dog out the backyard, they broke through the fence. Owners searched and found the other dog,but no sign of this one. After three days/nights of searching, and calling all the numbers - they are stumped. He looks quite a lad but is young & harmless and wouldn't hurt a fly.

Looks like a bit like a whippet with characteristics which shout 'Jack Russell'. Choclate brown but looks black. Going grey round the mouth and on his paws. White hairs on his chin and round his mouth and on his feet. White bit on his chest and is all round lovable. About 24 inches at shoulder.13 years old.
Wearing a battered brown collar with two tags. One was from the pound.

Thieves forced entry, knocking over and assaulting an 80 yr. old woman to gain access to the dog. This is the second time this dog's been stolen. Owner is desperate for his return. Police have issued a crime number and are investigating the assault too.

Trailhounds are similar to fox-hounds and photos of these lovely dogs can be seen on the Trailhound Trust's website Trailhound Trust. Tricolour. Of medium size. 3 years old. Ear tattoo (BA1). Rescue dog.
On Friday afternoon he slipped his lead and disappeared into the distance. Trailhounds can cover great distances and may not necessarily be in the same area.

Owners believe they may have been taken for coursing. Terrier has been known to wander hence the chip but always comes back within 48 hours.

Another Lurcher was stolen at the same time and reappeared on his own 5 days later. The thieves missed another JRT pup which was kennelled with the stolen one (maybe because she was dark tan and they did not see her). Other dogs which were loose were not taken. Tack was stolen at the same time.
Stolen on Xmas Eve from kennels at yard Stow-on-the-Wold, Glos on 24/12/03 along with LSD 1716 (Lurcher bitch) and LSOB 1718/9 (JRT bitches).

Smooth coated. Black and tan. Tan eyebrows and chest and on inside of legs. Slightly feathered ears and tail. Big scar on inside of (right?) front leg. Height - about 24 ins. 2 years old.
Stolen from kennel in garden whilst owner was at work. Owner had been approached by Travellers asking to buy the dog, when he was walking him home - he thinks he was followed home. Owner tracked his dog to a site in Milton Keynes, but the Travellers there said the dog had "run off".

Dark brown, white with bit's of black running through the brown. Black nose , white tip on tail. Part of left ear missing , also dew claw's on back paws. 6 years old. Black collar and flea collar.

Border Collie/lassie collie cross - dog (neutered)

Tan, white and chocolate brown. White tipped tail and paws and white chest. Mostly white face with tan/brown around eyes and ears. Brown spots on white part of face and what looks like a small moustache. Always looks as if he is laughing. Medium height. Not as wide as pedegree collie. Long legs. 12 years old. Red collar, no tag due to metal allergy. Nervous and can bite anyone but owners.
Went missing Mansfield Town Centre (date not mentioned).

Lurcher - 5/8 Saluki x 3/8 Greyhound - dog (entire)

Smooth coated. Black and tan. Completely tan head. Toe missing on left front foot. Height - 27-29 ins. 3 1/2 years old. Wearing a brown leather Lurcher collar.
Stolen between 12.20-1.10pm along with 2 other Lurchers. Owner has managed to get 2 of his stolen dogs back by "asking questions" of the right people.

Smooth coated. Red fawn. White chest and paws. Scar on right leg. One canine tooth is going black. Looks like a chunky Greyhound. Height - 25.5 ins. 3 years old.
Was let into yard and gate had been left open - ran off before he could be stopped. Owner has only just moved to this house, so the dog may be trying to find his way home to the old address.
