FABRICA PROGRAMME INFORMATION

Fabrica - a new contemporary visual venue in central Brighton Ship Street, Brighton (opposite the main Post Office).

SPIRE
22 MARCH - 21 APRIL 1996
SPIRE by Caitlin Easterby

A large scale interactive installation created to launch Fabricas first season of events.

Spire was commissioned to mark the change in identity of the former Holy Trinity Church and has been built as a direct response to the buildings atmospheric interior.

Whilst Spire has been designed to acknowledge the buildings history, as a church and architectural landmark, it also provides a symbolic focus for a period of transition drawing attention, and encouraging participation in, the new activities that will shape its future.

Fabrica will also be hosting events and discussions during this exhibition that will detail exhibition and programming policy and discuss with artists and curators how they can work with Fabrica in the future. If you would like to know more and would be interested in developing programme ideas then please call Fabrica on Brighton 778646 and we can give you details.
