Hello. This is the home page of
Simon Buckingham,
who has just graduated from the
University of Sussex
and studied International Relations in the school of English & American Studies (Engam).
He is hoping to start at the
University of Brighton
to research towards an MSc and Phd within the field of Specific Learning Difficulties
and the use of Multimedia, especially computers. He is especially keen on this course,
as not only is it in Brighton where he lives, but the Faculty has a very good reputation. He
is also highly impressed with the friendliness of the Faculty, and is looking forward to
studying there soon.
Christian,
but friends don't hold it against him. Home is in
Brighton,
on the south coast of Great Britain. Known by his friends as a bit batty, he uses the
excuse of having
Attention Deficit Disorder
or ADD, as well as
dyslexia.
A keen fan of the
Discworld
series, he has impeccable taste (apparently). Simon is also a
Mono
user, and therefore a spod. Friends include
Sherman
the Giga-Spod,
John
the Mega-Spod, and Michele the Non-Spod. With friends like this, who needs prison?
Rincewind, Twoflower, Gytha, Esme, Magrat and Verence are the rats. Named after Terry Pratchett's characters, they are totally docile. As the girls own four of them, their names will no doubt be changing soon. They like only good food and to be made a fuss of. Meeting them proves that the bad press given to rats is excessive, as they are loving and loyal animals. They form a bond with people, and when feeling low, Magrat will often come up and nuzzle around Simon. This always seems to cheer him up.
